Last night was our "Girls Night Out" entitled "Playing Under Pressure" at Cove Church. We have been planning it since the beginning of the summer- in fact, our initial meeting was the night after we returned from our honeymoon! So, it has been on my mind for 3 months, and I can't believe it's over! We had Pam Tebow as our guest speaker, who is the mother of the well-known ex-quarterback of U of Florida, Tim Tebow. Pam has 5 children and homeschooled all of them. Her and her husband were missionaries in the Phillipines for years where they raised their 5 children. Talk about perspective! I complain about being under pressure when I have to do a load of laundry and cook dinner after work for just 2 people here in the comfortable US of A! Pam had lots of wonderful insight about having a determined mindset of hope, and how to use that when you are having to play under pressure in everyday life.
Momsie and I did all of the food for the small meet-and-greet beforehand. Here are some pictures of that! One day maybe we will open a mother/daughter catering biz..... :)
Speaking of being under pressure, time is tickin' til closing day! We close on September 16th, and BOY is there a lot to do! I have been collecting boxes from work to start packing, and I feel like I am constantly giving people my John Hancock....I think I have signed my name 100 times in the past week!! I am so lucky to have such a smart, prompt, and on-top-of-things hubby....he has stayed on top of the inspection, the insurance quote, meeting with the lender, blah blah blah....things that I know little about and he is an expert. So here's to my darling hubs... THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all you are doing! And soon enough, you will have wallpaper to remove and rooms to paint :) hehehe!
