Today is the first day of work I have missed since I started working at The Surgery Center. I got a flu shot yesterday at work, and last night during C-group (which is our small group from church), I started having crazy chills, and when we got home, my fever was 101! It was a long night, and my wonderful friend and co-worker Carol (who is the "boss" this week since our manager is on vaca) told me to take the day off. I'm not sure if this was a reaction from the flu shot, but it seems pretty darn coincidental...Regardless, I'm still slightly feverish and therefore laying on the couch and blogging.
The last two weeks have consisted of work, Alabama football, and counting down the days until closing. The big day is only 48 hours away...I can't believe it! It seems surreal that in 2 days we will have keys to our own home. We plan on spending the weekend removing the wallpaper in the master bathroom and painting the entire master suite. Here are some "before" pictures of the master bathroom...."after" pictures to follow!

| The wallpaper is the first thing to go! I don't want to have a seizure every time I walk into our bathroom :) |
There is a lot of exciting things ahead of us in September. After closing and cleaning and painting, we plan on moving into the house the weekend of the 23rd, which is the day after Matt's birthday, the 22nd. Then, Matt is going on a mission trip to Appalachian Service Projects in Virginia the weekend of the 29th. Lots to look forward to! Married life is the best, and today we celebrate 4 months of marriage!
